Algeria vs Egypt semi-final, scandalous refereeing
The Algerian football team, which finished the semi-final game against Egypt with eight players, will not be able to contest the third final of the African Cup of Nations in its history, after the 4-0 defeat against Egypt Thursday at Ombaka National Stadium in Benguela in a encounter marked by the scandalous refereeing of Benin's Koffi Codjia.
Playing against Africa's double champions, the Desert Foxes, coached by Rabah Saadane were victims of the arbitrary decisions of the refereed, who did everything to destabilize and irritate the Algerian players, to the greatest pleasure of their opponents.
An awarded penalty and three players sent off, namely Rafik Halliche, the best Algerian defender and the revelation of the tournament, the defender Nadir Belhadj, and the goalkeeper Faouzi Chaouchi.
This has never been seen or reported in a semi-final of the African Cup of Nations. It was an impossible mission for the Desert Foxes.
