Cereal crops in Laghouat went up to 269.748 quintal this year. Agricultural services have reported that the cereal production over 24 hectares, has resulted in 221.576ql. of orge and 48.172 of hard wheat reaching thus assigned objectives sources said . The cereal harvesting campaign was achieved over a surface of 16 miles ha whose 13.721 ha consecrated to barley and 2.226ha for wheat , according to the same source , which said the loss of 8 mile ha of cereal production , due to very poor rain falls. Two storage locations at the level of Aflou Area and Laghouat , while the cooperative of cereal and dry vegetables have recorded up till now 29.649qtl whose big quantity is hard wheat I,e 60% of the total production. This campaign a mobilized 21 harvesting machines .The cereal production for this year is lower than last year one the agricultural sources said.
