Tennis Championships : Algerian Teams Head To Cape Town

Algerian national table tennis junior and cadet teams (boys and girls) are to compete in the African championships to take place April 5-10 in Cape Town, South Africa, with the goal of snatching some medals, according to the Algerian Table Tennis Association.

Algerian national table tennis junior and cadet teams (boys and girls) are to compete in the African championships to take place April 5-10 in Cape Town, South Africa, with the goal of snatching some medals, according to the Algerian Table Tennis Association. Algeria is to take part in South Africa's event with eight table tennis players: three 15-17 year-old players (two girls and one boy), three junior girls and two junior boys, coached by Salim Hamani (15-17 year-old players), Mustapha Belahcene (junior girls) and Hocine Rebai (junior boys). "We seek to snatch a gold medal in 15-17 year-old (simples), a title we have been trying to win for fifteen years, junior boys aim to get a medal while female junior players seek to reach the final," said Mounir Bessah, the technical director at the Algerian Table Tennis Association.
