Minister of Culture Khalida Toumi announced Monday in Algiers, the realization in 2011 of 60 film projects particularly in the context of the event "Tlemcen, the capital of Islamic culture". Touma who answered the members of the Nation Council on the draft Law on Cinema, said that since the revival and funding of the promotion and development of the film industry at the event "Algiers, Capital of Arab Culture in 2007," the State considered necessary to revive the industry after a period of inertia that lasted nearly a decade. In this context, 60 projects will be implemented this year, including some listed under the event "Tlemcen, the capital of Islamic culture" alongside other projects planned since 2010, said the minister, adding since 2007, no film funded by the Ministry of Culture has been screened in preview abroad.
