The fourth International Arab Film festival of Oran (432km west of Algiers) kicked off Thursday in the presence of artists, intellectuals and Culture ministry's representatives. Organized by the ministry of Culture under the high patronage of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the festival honoured three illustrious Arab figures from the world of Art, namely the late Larbi Zekkal, actress Chafia Boudraa (Algeria) and artist Hayet El Fahd (Kuwait). Organizers honoured those figures for their art careers and their contribution to the development and promotion of Arab film industry. In an address, famous actress Chafia Boudraa dedicated the homage to "all Algerians and those who have been struggling to make a success of Algerian cinema."
