France’s embassy in Algiers denied Sunday in a communiqué rumours about alleged measures taken by the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health to control travellers from Algeria following the cholera outbreak in the country.“Some rumours on social networks, relayed by some media, report measures that would have been taken by the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health to control travellers from Algeria. According to these rumours, travellers must have a medical certificate of non-contamination by cholera disease, without which, a paid medical examination would be compulsory on arrival at French airports,” said the source.“France’s embassy in Algeria denies these baseless rumours and affirms that no such measure has been taken by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health,” concluded the source.
