The review of the law on hydrocarbons in force will concern no sovereignty-related issues, including the 51/49% rule governing foreign investments in Algeria, the Prime Minister office said Thursday on its website. Moreover Energy Minister Mustapha Guitouni said in Moscow the member countries of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) should engage in joint actions to address the current challenges facing the natural gas industry. The 19th ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) has officially decided, Wednesday in Moscow, that Algeria would house the future gas research institute.
