President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has chaired an assessment meeting devoted to the sector of post and information and communication technologies (ICTs), as part of the annual hearings on the activities of the different ministerial departments. On this occasion, Minister of Post and ICTs Moussa Benhamadi has presented a report on the implementation of the directives of the Head of State achieved through the development of activities relating to post and ICTs and space-based technologies as well as building the information society. As regards the postal services, new central post offices opened in big towns and 103 offices reopened, in addition to the improvement of the quality of postal network services with the adoption of efficient modern technological system in 250 post offices and the setting-up of multipurpose counters in over 200 post offices in order to ensure the traceability of operations and improve significantly the quality of services provided at the level of counters.
