Mujaheed Lakhdar Bentobal, deceased Saturday aged 87, was laid to rest Monday afternoon in El-Alia cemetery in Algiers (square of martyrs).

Mujaheed Lakhdar Bentobal, deceased Saturday aged 87, was laid to rest Monday afternoon in El-Alia cemetery in Algiers (square of martyrs). Many personalities attended to the funeral including President of the Council of Nation Abdelkader Bensalah, President of the People’s National Assembly Abdelaziz Ziari, Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, President of the Constitutional Council Boualam Bessaih, and members of the government. Other high ranking personalities of the State, national personalities, comrades in arms of the late Bentobal, as well has his family members and many citizens were also present to pay a last homage and accompany the remains of one of the last historic leaders of the Revolution to his last dwelling. Previously, homage was organized at the National Organization of Mujahedeen headquarters (ONM) in Algiers. The remembrance ceremony was held in the presence of national personalities and many citizens.
