The Palestinian Authority is now the 194th full member state of UNESCO following a favourable vote Monday at the 36th plenary session of the General Conference of the UN organization being held from October 25 to November 10 in Paris. Palestinian membership to Unesco was passed by a majority of two thirds of the voters among its 193 members.
