Pay rise: Completion of Negotiations set for May
A deadline for the completion of negotiations about pay rise in the private economic sector has been set for May, said Sunday here the General Union for Algerian Workers' Secretary-General Abdelmadjid Sidi Saïd.
"The technical team has until May to reach pay rise agreements. The revision could lead us to review the legislative aspect, as part of the new labour code," said Sidi Saïd during the set up of a committee for the revision of the master agreement of the private economic sector.
The presidents of the General Confederation of Algerian Companies (CGEA), Habib Yousfi, the National Confederation of Algerian Employers (CNPA), Mohamed Saïd Naït Abdelaziz, the Algerian Confederation of Employers (CAP), Boualem M'Rakach, and the Confederation of Algerian Industrialists and Producers (CIPA), M'Hani Abdelaziz, took part in the meeting.
