Enhanced security screening for Algerian nationals: A "provocation" requiring reciprocity
The Speaker of the National People's Assembly (APN, Parliament) said Thursday here that the inclusion of Algeria in a list of countries whose nationals are subject to enhanced security screening was a "provocation" and expressed his" full support "to the principle of reciprocity.
As the guest of one of the Algerian Radio's programs, Abdelaziz Ziari expressed Algeria's "anger" towards such "provocative actions" taken by the United States and France.
In this respect, he pointed out that "the meeting scheduled between APN representatives and their counterparts in the French Assembly on the setting-up of the Main Committee has been frozen in response to these provocations;" adding that such behaviour "does not encourage the strengthening of relations."
