Commercial activity decreased in Algeria in Q3 2009


The commercial activity (wholesale and retail) decreased in Algeria in the third quarter of 2009, compared to the previous quarter, according to a survey conducted by the National Office of Statistics (ONS) among business owners of the sector.
The survey, carried out among 533 commercial enterprises, including 255 public and 278 private, showed a decrease in the commercial activity in textiles and leather, raw materials and semi-finished products as well as in miscellaneous trade.
